No matter what your politics, the look on these veteran’s faces says it all…
Certain holidays are a big deal when you’re the President of the United States, and Thanksgiving is one of them. First there’s the all-important presidential pardoning of the turkey. This year’s turkey was a 40 pounder from California named Abe. His death sentence commuted to life on a Virginia farm.
Next order of business was serving a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to homeless veterans at the Friendship Place Homeless Center Feast With Friends event.
The look on these veteran’s faces says it all. They were honored to meet the President and be treated with such respect and kindness. We salute President Obama for this humble and gracious act towards our veterans on Thanksgiving.

“It’s not only of the spirit of giving during this holiday season, but our national obligation to make sure all those who serve and sacrifice for our country have a place to call home,” Obama said from the Rose Garden..
