After 10 Years of Planning, Crow Nation Vision to Care For Their Homeless Veterans Is Realized

Sacrifice and patience made this happen.

The Crow Nation, also known as the Apsaalooké or Biiluuke, have forever lived in the sacred land at the base of the Big Horn Mountains.  There are 13,000 proud members of the Crow Nation.

With such a small population, its surprising that today there are 430 Crow military veterans.  But what’s not surprising is that about 10% of them are homeless.

In 2004 tribal elders identified a great need to address this situation.  The idea for the apartment complex was conceived.

Finally, 10 years later, the 15 unit apartment complex was dedicated in a tribal ceremony.
